Mother Nature is snowing her ass off right now. It started around ten this morning and it's expected to go into this evening. I'm essentially snowed in; my mom lent me her old station wagon to use for classes, and she's not exactly the most seaworthy vessel. We spent the morning watching squirrels devour every edible thing in our yard (we left them some stale bread and baby carrots) and their balancing act on the bird feeder is obnoxiously cute. Oh god, I'm already getting cabin fever.
Atticus has been keeping busy though, our front window is his TV and there's always something good on.
No one in our house today has been having as much fun as Kylie. We took a quick pee break and she decided to do one of her trademark snow angles. Normally she does no fewer than four on a normal walk around the block, so one seems about right for a trip around the yard.

Okay. I'm done with adorable animal photos for the day, I promise. I'm like one of those obnoxious people who carries around baby photos and forces everyone to look at them. Oh god, what am I turning into!?
On a less obnoxious (or possibly more so?) note, my scarf is limping along and will probably be done in a few months at the pace I'm going. I got so excited when I was casting on that I'm now working on the monstrosity my friend referred to as "What is that, a baby blanket?" Thankfully Erick has wide shoulders, I hope he gets cold this summer when it's done!
Kylie is just gorgeous, and very talented! You can post as many photos of her as you like, and I wouldn't mind a bit. We've been snowed in this week - a big dump of snow on Wednesday, a day to recover and shovel out on Thursday, then today a decorative layer of freezing rain just to make things interesting. I've spent the day inside and now feel like a slug...
ReplyDeleteOOh you gotta love the freezing rain patina! Don't worry, there will be so many photos of my pets on this blog your eyes will probably bleed.
